KPS Tool muntin punch

Made in the USA by KPS tool and die in Wisconsin this CNC automatic muntin grid punch notcher can cut the notches in the following sizes of muntin bar:-

3/8 x 5/8

3/8 x 7/8

3/16 x 1

3/16 x 5/8

¼ x 3/8

3/8 x 3/8

Only three years old but was in production for just a few months and is like new condition. Cost of a new one is over $60,000.00

Different profiles of muntin bar can be used on this machine but new dies would have to be made to fit the bar, which can be made where the machine was manufactured or by any other die manufacture if you have one local.

The muntin bar machine is 58″ wide x 195″ Long x 65″ High

The assembly table is 68″ wide x 87″ Long x 50″ High

There is a control panel on the machine where you enter the following information:-

size of muntin bar to use

length of the cut bars

position of the notches

quantity of each piece

The machine has six different dies set up for different muntin sizes 3/8 x 5/8, 3/8 x 7/8, 3/16 x 1, 3/16 x 5/8, ¼ x 3/8 and 3/8 x 3/8 ( These can be replaced with other sizes if needed but not included ) The muntin bar is optimized before cutting so that there is less waste to the stock bars.

The machine will automatically select the muntin bar from the information entered and notch out the slots and cut it to the required length. The finished bar is then automatically sent to the assembly table ( included ) where it is manually assembled. No operator is needed to baby sit the machine while it is operating but the magazines holding the stock lengths of muntin will need to be stocked up during the day.

When this machine was ordered new the customer had office software that he wanted to integrate with the machine, so that the muntin orders could be processed by window size and downloaded to the machine. If you have a office system that you would like to intergrate with the machine for processing please let me know what you are using and I will check with the machine manufacture to see what will be required. If you do not have existing office software and want the machine to perform by entering the window sizes I can look into the cost involved for this feature to be added. The machine is set up and operating at a company in Wisconsin and i can set up appointment for you to inspect it if you are interested.
